Organizations are required to fill out the proper paperwork and re-register their organization at the beginning of each fall semester.
Starting a new organization? The following steps need to be completed before your group can become a UNO registered student organization.
- Obtain an Organization Registration packet
- Submit the organization constitution and by-laws
- A group must submit a membership list of at least 5 students.
- Secure an organization advisor. This person must be a member of the UNO faculty or staff.
In order to remain in good standing, all organizations are required to send the president or an executive officer to one of the six organization orientations. Dates, times, and locations will be available soon.
All campus organizations must adhere to the University of New Orleans Student Organization Handbook. This important document serves as a resource to organization leaders and outlines the university organization policies and procedures. Organization leaders are responsible for educating their officers and their organization members of the content of the Organization Handbook.
